Privacy policy
What data smart automated bidding collects, how it's used, and what your options are. Plain language, no legalese.
Last updated: 2026-05-13.
This policy describes how smart automated bidding (the “site,” operated at smartautomatedbidding.com) collects, uses, and shares information from visitors. The policy applies to this site and its companion sites in the same publication group. Where the operator’s practices differ from this policy, the operator-specific terms take precedence and are noted explicitly.
What we collect
The site collects two categories of information:
- Server logs. Like every web server, ours records the IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps of every request. We use this data for diagnostic purposes and to detect abuse. Server logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted.
- Analytics. We use server-side analytics to count page views and sessions. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracker that builds cross-site profiles of individual visitors. The analytics we collect are aggregate counts only, with no per-user identifiers retained.
What we explicitly do not collect:
- Personal information without consent. No forms, no email-gates, no required logins.
- Cookies that track across sessions. The site does not set cookies for tracking. Some browsers may store fonts and stylesheets locally; that is browser-level caching, not tracking.
- Behavioral profiles. We don’t build, sell, or share visitor behavior profiles.
If you contact us
If you email us using the address on the contact page, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We keep correspondence indefinitely for context on future conversations, but we do not enrich it with third-party data, sell it, or use it for targeting beyond responding to you.
Third-party services
The site loads typography from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google’s Fonts service may collect requests for the purposes of serving fonts and rate-limiting; Google’s privacy policy applies to that interaction. We do not control or share visitor data with Google beyond the technical font-loading request.
The site is hosted on DigitalOcean App Platform. DigitalOcean’s privacy practices apply to the hosting layer.
External links on this site lead to third-party websites we don’t control. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Your rights
You can:
- Request a copy of any correspondence between us, by replying to any email we’ve sent.
- Request deletion of any correspondence, which we’ll honor within 30 days.
- Block or disable cookies in your browser. The site will continue to work; we don’t use cookies for required functionality.
For privacy-related requests, use the contact page and mark the subject line “Privacy.”
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone in that age range. If we become aware that a person under 13 has provided us information, we will delete it.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, the “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the new date and the prior version will remain accessible via the page’s revision history. Minor wording changes (typos, formatting) won’t trigger a revision-date update.
